I am a potter working for peace, one pot at a time.

My Peace Pot is an effort to symbolize the peace process. When a candle is lit inside the pot, the dove projects a vibrant glow, a reminder that peace begins within each of us as we work for world peace.

I am happy that my Peace Pots are finding their way to homes around the country. My goal is to find international markets for them as well. It is my hope that those who buy a Peace Pot will know that they are helping to move the peace process forward.

As part of this effort, I donate 10% of the profits of Peace Pot sales to Peace Action Maine.

I have been a resident of Maine since 1984, first in north Ellsworth, then on Deer Isle, now in the Portland area. In the summers, I become a "summer person," with a rustic cottage on Eggemoggin Reach, East Penobscot Bay.

Animal imagery has been a constant motif in my clay work due in large part to my lifelong exposure to Maine’s amazing wildlife landscape. So carving doves on pots was a natural evolution in my work, as well as the fulfillment of an intention to make a difference in the global movement for world peace.
